چکیده
In the beginning of 21 st century there has been a dramatic shift in the market dynamics of telecommunication services. The transmission from base station to mobile or downlink transmission using M-ary Quadrature Amplitude modulation (QAM) and Quadrature phase shift keying (QPSK) modulation schemes are considered in Wideband-Code Division Multiple Access (W-CDMA) system. We have done the performance analysis of these modulation techniques when the system is subjected to Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) and multipath Rayleigh fading are considered in the channel. The research has been performed by using MATLAB 7.6 for simulation and evaluation of Bit Error Rate (BER) and Signal-To-Noise Ratio (SNR) for W-CDMA system models. It is shows that the analysis of Quadrature phases shift key and 16-ary Quadrature Amplitude modulations which are being used in wideband code division multiple access system, Therefore, the system could go for more suitable modulation technique to suit the channel quality, thus we can deliver the optimum and efficient data rate to mobile terminal. There has been a dramatic change in the field of field of telelcommunication service. M-ary Quadrature Amplitude modulation and Quadrature Phase shift Keying (QPSK) modulation schemes are considered in Wideband code Division Multiple Access(WCDMA) system. Here we are using MATLAB for simulation and evaluation of BER ( Bit Error Rate )and SNR(Siganl to Noise Ratio). There is analysis of Quadratu...
متن کاملBit Error Performance for Asynchronous Ds Cdma Systems Over Multipath Rayleigh Fading Channels (RESEARCH NOTE)
In recent years, there has been considerable interest in the use of CDMA in mobile communications. Bit error rate is one of the most important parameters in the evaluation of CDMA systems. In this paper, we develop a technique to find an accurate approximation to the probability of bit error for asynchronous direct–sequence code division multiple–access (DS/CDMA) systems by modeling the multipl...
متن کاملBER Performance Analysis of QAM Modulation Techniques in MIMO Rayleigh Channel for WCDMA System
Wideband Code Division Multiple Access (WCDMA) technology has emerged as the most widely adopted third generation (3G) air interface. 3GPP Release 7 (HSPA+) WCDMA systems introduced two features Higher Order Modulation (HOM) and Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO). MIMO improve the throughput in wireless medium. It achieves a higher spectral efficiency. This paper focuses on the performance a...
متن کاملA Comprehensive Performance Analysis of Direct Detection Receivers inWDMASystems
In this work the performance of a wavelength division multiple access (WDMA) system with direct detection receiver is investigated. For this purpose, the probability of error in a WDMA network with OOK modulation considering crosstalk, ISI, photo detector noise and thermal noise is calculated and the effect of each on system performance is investigated. The system performance in presence of PIN...
متن کاملComparison of CDMA and modulation schemes for UWB radio in a multipath environment
This paper investigates three different performance metrics for three candidate combinations of multiple access and modulation schemes in ultra wideband radio. The schemes are compared for a single user, multipath channel at a fixed data rate. First, semi-analytic expressions are developed for the probability of error with arbitrary multiple-access coding and amplitude or pulse position modulat...
